Alex Lifeson from Rush visits Music Shop in Tokyo
On April 4th 2014 out of the blue, Alex Lifeson from Rush visited the Guitar Shop in Tokyo I used to work at. This was an amazing moment for me. Thank you everyone for enjoying & sharing this. So you know, the Les Paul sold the day this video was released and the PRS Acoustic sold on December 7th 2015. The new owner (as you can imagine) is VERY happy with his Guitar. This Guitar has now become somewhat rather legendary now thanks to this video. Again, thank you Alex.
Neither of the two guitars were raised a single Yen/Cent from their original prices. I've had a number of people slinging around claims that we would have done that, but that's because that's what THEY would have done. We did not.

UPDATE 2020/01/11: I'm very sad to learn as we all are that Neil Peart has passed away. My deepest condolences to Geddy Lee & his family, Alex Lifeson & his family, all of my fellow Rush fans around the world, Neil Peart's friends and especially to Neil's family. He will be sadly missed, however there is no way his influence and inspiration will disappear for a very long time to come if ever. Thank you Neil 🥁📚
September 12th 1952 / January 7th 2020. May "The Master" rest in peace.
This video was filmed with Alex's personal permission. I also cleared the usage of this footage before posting the video with the permission of SRO Management company.
On top of that this video is not an advertisement for any in-particular companies. I am simply sharing my luck and good fortune to have met one of my favorite musicians. I must admit, it helps that I used to work in that music store 😉
And again, we did not jack up the price of either of the Guitars featured in this video by a single Yen.

RUSH - The Weapon - Live In Toronto 1984 (2021 HD Remaster 60fps)
NEXT SONG (Witch Hunt): https://youtu.be/-t_CI7NdHlU
Enjoy the definitive version of Exit Stage Left! Upgraded using state of the art AI tools. The following remastering work was performed on the DVD version by yours truly:
1.Deinterlaced + noise & grain 90% removed
2.Video upscaled to HD using machine learning (Obviously to a limited extent when working with such rough source material)
3. Motion enhanced from 30fps to 60fps for smoothness
4. Audio re-balanced using the 5.1 DTS soundtrack
5. Video and audio rendered in 1080p with audio at 512kb/s quality
A couple years ago it was inconceivable that a video source like this could be improved this much, and with the rate that these AI programs are advancing it is likely we will be able to have 4k re-creations of footage like this in maybe five years. -
RUSH - Live In Auburn Hills 1990 (2021 HD Remaster) Presto Tour
Video enhanced and upscaled using AI software and audio re-balanced using different AI software (vocals turned down 2db with slight reverb added to vocal and drum track).
I will no doubt take some heat from purists and Presto fans for re-assembling the track order, but I just re-cut it in the way that I wanted to watch it at home, it's just my least favorite Rush album and I didn't really want to have to listen through half of it to get to my favorite tracks from this show, newcomers and casual fans may feel the same so I made it more accessible to the average viewer by putting the hits and classics in the first half. Also because it took so long to render this huge file-size that I didn't want to process two different versions, AND, the original version is already incomplete and cut between every song, so I didn't think it mattered that much. -
Rush - The Analog Kid Live 1994 - New 2018 Restoration & Remaster!
I was skimming through some wikipedia the other day and was surprised the see that one song on the Different Stages live album was recorded on the same night as the "A View From The Palace" bootleg video so naturally I had to line up the CD version with the video and sure enough it was a match, except for a couple small vocal spots where they used a different vocal take, so I synced them together replacing the old soundboard audio with a professionally mixed and produced version. I used the original DVD video source to maximize video quality. -
